Mental Health Consultancy

Stress, Depression, Workplace, Frustrations

Any experienced mental health consultant should assist you in identifying the pinch areas you have and gain a better understanding of your specific industry, business and workplace culture, prior to analysing your data with you.

Mental health is not a “One size fits all” area, so if you do not invest time in this preparatory area initially, then you might invest resources, implement procedures and/or train, in areas that are not required, essentially achieving nothing or seeing any return on your investment.

It does not necessarily prove costly to implement low level initiatives or enhance the level of support provided to your employees and their Mind Wellness. However, it is highly recommended to liaise with a consultant prior to dedicating funds from your budgets, into any of the multitudes of options that are now available.

Taking Time To Better Understand You

Initial Consultation

We are not here to sell to you, we are here for you and as such take the time to better understand the industry you are in, your workplace culture, any obvious pinch points based on the data provided and to discuss any specific requirements you may have. The key areas that tend to be highlighted are around: Recruitment, Retention, Attrition, Absenteeism, Presenteeism and the Resiliency of staff. Once we have gained a clearer image of the full picture and not before, will we then discuss budgets and whether you have one specifically for workplace mental health and staff wellbeing in general, whether it is placed under L&D or would it be an initial investment to begin with. Gain an idea on the clients recruitment costs per person, what policies and procedures are currently in place and what expectations they have, which will provide the measurement of success and achieving their pre-arranged prioritised goals.

Main Consultation

Once all the relevant data has been collated, we then arrange your main consultation where we re-visit your needs, requirements, priorities and expectations. Dependent on the budget and what it is that you wish to achieve, we can then look at options with you and start to put the outline to your new framework or strategy, along with time frames for completion, the period it is to be conducted over and whether any additional consultants are required to meet the specific requirements.

Implementation

Aside from offering a full suite of design, planning, creation and implementation of a workplace mind wellness framework or strategy, there are the smaller tasks of simply advising on how best to implement training that has already been provided by another supplier. Such an example would be in relation to the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) two day course, we truly believe this is a wonderful course and absolutely must be included in your arsenal for providing mental health support, but it can leave many asking the question, “What next?”.

We all too often come across organisations that have invested in various mental health and resilience type training, but are then unsure as to how they can gain maximum effectiveness which will produce the best results and ultimately a return on financial investment. This can range from a one off consultation, to a number of days, to having us attend a set number of days each month so that we may continue to provide guidance, advise, training and support.

Testimonials

A really interesting and engaging session today, thank you so much for attending. It’s not often that such a session will provide a full action plan for an organisation and some really key areas to address, in order to address Mental Health within the workplace. Highly recommended any organisation having Mark come in and speak to your staff, your managers or your leaders! Thanks again Mark!

– Katy Frith, HR Manager, Havebury

I highly recommend Mark, the depth of his knowledge and the manner in which he openly talks about a subject that affects so many lives is nothing short of inspiring.
